SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 6-16, only in places up to 20, turning toward the end of the day and during the night to SW winds. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, in the South Adriatic up to fresh SW winds. In the extreme north of the Adriatic before the morning and in the rest of the North Adriatic later on, moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the North Adriatic toward midday up to moderate. Mainly cloudy with rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
