IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY ALSO ELSEWHERE GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN OF NW WIND 35-50 KNOTS, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL OF NE WIND UP TO 80 KNOTS. SEA ONLY IN SOME PLACES OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC BRIEFLY POSSIBLE TO BE 4-5. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSHOWERS IN PLACES, MAINLY IN THE FIRST PART OF THE DAY IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with weakened frontal disturbance is shifting fast over the Adriatic towards southeast while a ridge of high is intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE, towards the open sea NW wind intensifying to 14-28, during the day at the foot of Velebit NE wind up to 40 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE wind 10-22 knots, from the middle of the day in the open turning to NW, towards late of the day along the coast of the rest of the Central Adriatic to NE wind 14-28 knots. Sea intensifying to 3-4, only in some places of the North Adriatic briefly possible to be 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km, locally reduced to 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy, in places rain, showers and thunder, mainly in the first part of the day in the North and Central Adriatic. Clearing up towards late in the day.
