Gusts of SE winds, 35-40 knots, diminishing tomorrow. Sea just in places possibly 4-5, mainly in the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic, calming tomorrow.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of the Mediterranean high is extending from the southeast, while a trough with frontal system is shifting very slowly north of the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE, in the North Adriatic SW winds as well, 12-24, in places up to 30 knots. Sea 3-4, just in places possibly 4-5, mainly in the open of the South and Central Adriatic. Visibility 10-20, in places possibly around 5 km due to mist. Fine or fair with some more clouds and a risk of light scattered rain or brief isolated rain showers in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Variably cloudy, in the North and in a smaler part of the Central Adriatic a risk of scattered rain. Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force SE winds, easing a little in the northern part of the Adriatic in the morning to light to moderate, elsewhere to moderate to fresh. Sea slight and moderate, in the night in the open of the South and Central Adriatic in places possibly rough, calming gradually in the north of the Adriatic during the morning, elsewhere from midday on to smooth to slight.
