WARNING

STILL A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC THIS MORNING. IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC FROM MIDDAY LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-40, IN THE OPEN DURING THE NIGHT BRIEFLY OF W and SW WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure over the Adriatic further weakening, while a shallow trough with frontal disturbance will be shifting rapidly across the northern part of the Adriatic during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 10-20, in the Central and South Adriatic up to 24, and in the open in the afternoon up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing in the Central and South Adriatic from midday to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to 2-4 km due to mist, and in the extreme north of the Adriatic this morning possibly to less than 1 km due to fog. Variably cloudy with a little rain only in places.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force SE, turning firstly in the open sea to SW and W winds, briefly up to strong, and before the morning to NW. Only along the coast of the South Adriatic still SE winds. Sea slight and moderate. A risk of brief isolated rain showers with thunder.
