ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE ADRIATIC. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST, STILL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC A RISK OF GUSTS OF NW and SW WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A trough over the Adriatic is slowly filling up, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the southwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, in the open sea SW winds as well, 8-18, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to 24 knots. In the North Adriatic NE winds 4-14, in the Velebit Channel at first still up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open and in the Velebit Channel at first, possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with isolated rain showers and thunder.

In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the open sea, around midday in places along the coast as well. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic possibly up to moderate.
