SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from north of Europe is intensifying a little toward the Adriatic, while a low over northern Africa will be filling up slowly.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, then mainly W and SW winds, 4-12 knots. In the open sea at first still SE winds 6-16 knots, easing later on. In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots. Sea 1-2, in the open and in the Velebit Channel 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places around 5 km due to mist, or possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the open sea. Fine or fair.

Light, mainly SW, in the North Adriatic moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to fresh NE winds, easing and dying away in the second part of the night. Sea smooth, in the Velebit Channel up to slight. Mostly clear with mist in places, and with a risk of fog, mainly in the open sea.
