GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-60, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 80, EASING TOMORROW TO 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-55, TOMORROW OF NE UP TO 45 KNOTS. SEA IN THE OPEN 4-5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. STILL A RISK OF FOG IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST.

SYNOPSIS

A low centered over the Tyrrhenian Sea will be filling up slowly and shifting toward the South Adriatic and further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 15-30, in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. In the South and in a smaller part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds 15-30 knots. Sea 3-4, in the South and in the open of the rest of the Adriatic 4-5. Visibility 10-20, but in the open of the South Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but gradual clearing in the North Adriatic during the night.

Moderate to near gale force NE winds, easing a little during the forenoon. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy, still with a risk of rain and showers in places, mainly in the South Adriatic.
