IN THE SOUTH AND IN THE OPEN OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND TOMORROW GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS AND SEA IN THE EXTREME SOUTH UP TO 5. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL TOMORROW TOWARD MIDDAY GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of little raised air pressure over the Adriatic is weakening slowly, while a low is deepening over the central Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 8-18, strengthening in the South and in the open of the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and in the evening to 12-28 and turning in the North Adriatic to NE 6-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in the open of the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day 3-4, in the extreme south 4-5. Visibility 10-20, but in places with mist reduced to around 4 km. Variably and mainly cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of thunder. Air temperatures a little lower.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in the open sea up to near gale force SE, and in the North Adriatic NE winds gradually strengthening, in the Velebit Channel toward midday up to fresh. Sea slight and moderate, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to rough. Overcast with scattered rain and with a risk of brief isolated rain showers and thunder.
