SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending from the northwest toward the Adriatic, while a low over the Ionian Sea is filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW, in places along the coast during the night NE winds, 4-12, and in the South Adriatic NW winds 5-15 knots. In the extreme south of the Adriatic at first still SE winds up to 18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 20, during the night 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic in the afternoon still variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder in the extreme south.

Light to moderate NW, in places along the coast in the morning NE, and in the open of the South Adriatic NW winds, strengthening locally up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to moderate. Mostly clear.
