SEA IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC POSSIBLY UP TO 5 AT FIRST. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC.

A ridge of high pressure is extending from the north toward the Adriatic, while a trough of the Mediterranean low will be filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 15-30, in the Velebit Channel up to 40, gradually easing to 10-20, in the Velebit Channel to 25 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4, and in the open of the North Adriatic possibly up to 5 at first. Visibility 15-30 km. Variably cloudy, still with a risk of rain in places, mainly in the wider area of Rijeka and in the South Adriatic, where brief isolated rain showers with thunder are possible.

Fresh, in the Velebit Channel still up to strong NE winds, further easing to light to moderate and turning toward midday to NW. Sea gradually calming to smooth and slight. Fine or fair, in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain in places.
