A new trough with frontal disturbance is approaching the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 15-25, in the open in the afternoon 25-35 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the afternoon to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North Adriatic mainly cloudy with rain in places in the afternoon, elsewhere gradual cloud increase. Air temperatures a little higher.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. Strong and near gale force, toward the open sea up to gale force SE winds, easing in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic and turning to SW. Sea slight and moderate, toward the open up to rough.
