SYNOPSIS

A low over the Tyrhhenian Sea and the Adriatic is filling up and it will be shifting further eastwards in the evening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and S winds 8-18, in the extreme south still up to 22 knots at first, turning in the evening to NW, along the coast to NE and E 6-16, in the open NW winds up to 20 knots. In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the extreme south at first 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the North, during the night in the Central Adriatic as well, partial clearing.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light, in places up to moderate NE, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic light to fresh NW winds, easing almost everywhere in the morning. Sea smooth, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to slight. Mostly clear with some cloud in places, in the South Adriatic during the night still variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. Night and morning air temperatures will drop, daily ones will warm up a little.
