LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC TODAY STILL GUSTS OF SE and S, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE AFTERNOON AND IN THE EVENING OF NE WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A low over the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Adriatic is filling up and it will be shifting further eastwards in the evening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and S winds 8-18, in the extreme south up to 26, turning late in the day to NW, along the coast to NE and E 6-14, in the open sea NW briefly up to 20 knots. In the North Adriatic NE and E, in the open sea NW winds, 8-16, and in the Velebit Channel NE up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder. Clearing is expected in the North Adriatic in the afternoon. A little cooler.

Light to moderate NE and NW, in the extreme south at first still moderate to strong SE winds. In the Velebit Channel in the first part of the night NE winds still up to strong. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south at first still up to moderate. Gradual clearing in the Central Adriatic as well, but rain and isolated rain showers and thunder still expected in the South Adriatic.
