WARNING

Local gusts of NE winds, 35-45 kn, in the Velebit Channel up to 60, slowly diminishing at the end of the day. Just initially in the extreme South a risk of the gusts of SE winds, 35 knots. Locally thunderstorms, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

SYNOPSIS

A low over the Adriatic is getting weaker and is shifting suotheastwards, while a ridge of high is getting stronger from the North.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds, 8-18 knots, in the North and Central Adriatic NW winds, 12-24 knots, in the Velebit Channel up to 32, diminishing gradually at the end of the day. Just initially in the extreme South S winds, 12-24 knots. Sea 3-4, at the end of the day calming to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly cloudy, locally rain, showers and thunder, mainly in the South and partly in the Central Adriatic. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic partial clearing.

Light to moderate, just in the Velebit Channel initially fresh NE winds, turning to SE and E, around midday increasing to fresh. Sea smooth to slight. Increase of cloudiness and local rain.
