GUSTS OF SE, IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF NIGHT OF S and SW WINDS, 30-40, ELSEWHERE OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW.

SYNOPSIS

A new trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the west and it is expected to shifting across the Adriatic during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 12-22, west of Istria in the afternoon still NE and NW 6-16 knots, easing in the North Adriatic toward the end of the day. Sea 2-3, in the southern part of the Adriatic increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain in places, during the night with isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds. In the rest of the Adriatic moderate to strong SE winds gradually turning to S and SW, easing in the morning. Sea slight, locally up to moderate.
