SYNOPSIS

A frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards. A new trough is expected to generate over the central Mediterranean during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, toward the open of the South and a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds, 12-22 knots. Along the coast NE winds briefly up to 26, in the Velebit Channel up to 34, easing to 4-14 knots. Sea 3-4, calming to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Cloud increase with rain in the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic as well. Light SE winds strengthening to light to fresh, in the South and Central Adriatic possibly up to strong. Sea calming to smooth, but increasing again late on to smooth and slight.
