SYNOPSIS

A frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE winds 12-24, in the extreme south up to 28, turning toward the end of the day, firstly in the open, to NW 10-20, briefly up to 26 knots. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds 10-20, in the open in the afternoon up to 26 knots. Sea 3-4, calming in the North Adriatic late in the day to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places 2-4 km due to mist. Mainly cloudy with rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South and Central Adriatic. End of precipitation and cloud breaking up expected in the northern part of the Adriatic in the evening.

Light to moderate, in the open sea up to fresh NW winds. Sea mainly slight, in the South Adriatic at first still up to moderate. Variably cloudy with rain in the South, in the first part of the night and tomorrow morning in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, then gradual clearing.
