IN THE NORTH, TOMORROW MORNING IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING UP TO 60 KNOTS. SEA IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC UP TO 5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A low with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards, while a new one is deepening over the Central Mediterranean and a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the South and Central Adriatic SE and S winds 12-24, in the open of the South up to 28, and in the extreme south of the Adriatic S winds up to 34 knots. In the North Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 12-24, in places during the night and in the morning up to 28, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open sea 3-4, in the South Adriatic 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with rain, showers and thunder.

Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force NE winds, spreading from the North to a part of the Central Adriatic. In the rest of the Adriatic moderate to strong SE, along the coats E winds, toward the extreme south of the Adriatic SE winds up to near gale force. Overcast with scattered rain, isolated showers and thunder.
