SYNOPSIS

A new trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 8-18 knots, rapidly easing. Late in the day, firstly in the North Adriatic, SE and SW winds, strengthening to 10-20, during the night up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, during the night 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy. A new heavier cloud increase is expected during the night, bringing rain in places, mainly in the North Adriatic, where heavier rain showers and thunder are also possible. No change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong SW winds easing for a short time and strengthening again toward midday. Sea slight, in the open at first up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, while heavier rain showers and thunder expected mainly in the northern part of the Adriatic in the first part of the night.
