SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic eastwards, while a new one is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and W, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic this morning still SE and SW winds, 14-28, in the open sea up to 34, easing in the North Adriatic in the morning and in the rest of the Adriatic in the afternoon, to 6-16 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open 4-5, calming in the afternoon to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Partial clearing is expected in the North, in the afternoon in the rest of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NW and W, turning to SE winds and strengthening to moderate and strong. Sea smooth or slight, increasing locally up to moderate. A new cloud increase, bringing rain in places later on.
