SYNOPSIS

A low is rapidly shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

S and SW, in the North Adriatic in the afternoon and in the rest of the Adriatic later on W and NW winds, 18-36, toward the open sea up to 40, easing late in the day and during the night to 12-28 knots. Sea 4-5, locally in the open during the day possibly up to 6. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder, particularly in the first part of the day. Partial clearing is expected in the northern part of the Adriatic toward the end of the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mainly cloudy, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with rain in places, at first also with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. In the North and in a part of the Central, later on in the rest of the Adriatic as well, end of precipitation and cloud thinning and breaking up. Moderate to strong W and NW winds, easing in the second part of the night to light to moderate. Sea moderate and rough, locally in the open at first possibly up to very rough, calming from the middle of the night to smooth and slight, only in the South Adriatic still up to moderate.
