FROM MIDDAY GUSTS OF SE and S WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-50, IN PLACES DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 65, IN THE OPEN UP TO 70 KNOTS. DURING THE NIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS AND SEA 5, IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC BEFORE THE MORNING POSSIBLY UP TO 6.

SYNOPSIS

A low over the Gulf of Genoa is deepening and it will be shifting in the second part of the night and tomorrow along the Adriatic southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SW and SE winds 6-16, in the South Adriatic and in the open sea of the Central up to 22 knots. From midday SE and S gradually strengthening to 16-28, in places in the evening up to 34 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing in the afternoon to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain along the coast of the North and South Adriatic. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Near gale and gale force SE and S, turning in the North Adriatic before the morning to SW winds. Sea moderate and rough, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic before the morning possibly up to very rough. Heavier cloud increase with rain showers and thunder, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic, possibly even heavier in the second part of the night.
