SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure will be weakening over the Adriatic, while a trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 4-12, in the Central Adriatic up to 16, in the North up to 20 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic mainly calm at first. Sea 1-2, in the North and Central Adriatic increasing to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but partial cloud increase is expected in the North Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the South Adriatic fine or fair, elsewhere gradual cloud increase with a risk of light scattered rain in the North Adriatic toward midday, mainly in the extreme north and in the area of Rijeka. SE winds further strengthening to strong and near gale force. Sea increasing to moderate and rough.
