GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-70, IN PLACES UP TO 85, EASING IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC TILL THE END OF THE DAY, ELSEWHERE FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, TO 35-45 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY 4-5, IN THE OPEN POSSIBLY 5-6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE FORENOON.

A low is shifting from the Adriatic further southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 16-36, in places up to 44, easing in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day to 8-18 knots. In the South Adriatic at first still SW winds 12-22 knots. Sea 3-4, locally 4-5, in the open possibly 5-6, calming in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain in places and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic. Along the coast of the North Adriatic at first a risk of wind drifted snow. End of precipitation and gradual clearing is expected in the North Adriatic during the forenoon and in a part of the Central later on. Significantly colder.
