SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the south, while a weakened frontal disturbance is shifting partly across the North Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 4-8, in the North Adriatic, south of Istria, in the morning still S and SW, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds, 4-14 knots. Sea 1-2. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to 2-10 km due to mist, or even to less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the morning. Fair or mainly cloudy with light scattered rain or drizzle, mainly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the morning. Partial clearing is expected in the Central and South Adriatic toward the end of the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear, in the North Adriatic fair or mainly cloudy with a little rain or drizzle in places, mainly along the coast. A risk of mist and fog in places. Calm or light variable winds, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the first part of the night light, toward the open up to moderate, NW winds. Sea calm or smooth, in the open of the South Adriatic possibly up to slight at first.
