SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

N and NW, in places along the coast NE winds, 6-16, in the South and Central Adriatic 10-20, toward the open sea up to 24, easing in the North Adriatic in the afternoon to 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic today still 3-4, calming in the North Adriatic toward the end of the day to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but moderate passing cloud increase in the North Adriatic in the afternoon and elsewhere toward the end of the day. Air temperatures warming up a little.
