IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE FORENOON STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF NW, IN PLACES ALONG THE COAST OF NE WINDS, 30-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while a weakened frontal disturbance will be shifting north of the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 4-12 knots. In the extreme south of the Adriatic NE winds 12-24, calming to 6-16 knots. Sea 1-2, locally up to 3, in the extreme south of the Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Cloud increase with light scattered rain in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, mainly in the open sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Gradual clearing, but in places at first still with light scattered rain, mainly in the open of the Central Adriatic. NW winds strengthening to light to moderate, in the South and Central Adriatic to moderate and strong. In places along the coast light to fresh NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to moderate.
