SYNOPSIS

A trough with cold front is approaching the Adriatic from the west, where a filed of raised air pressure has started to weaken.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly SE and SW winds 6-16, strengthening in the evening and during the night to 14-26, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 30 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing during the night to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy, toward the end of the day mainly cloudy. In the South Adriatic at first, elsewhere in the evening and particularly during the night, rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

Moderate to strong SE and SW winds turning in the North, during the forenoon in the Central Adriatic as well, to moderate to strong NW and NE. Sea slight and moderate, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to rough. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder in places.
