SYNOPSIS

A trough with cold front is shifting across the Adriatic eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the southwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW and W, in the South Adriatic at first SW winds, 6-16, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic NW up to 24 knots, easing during the night. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4, calming through the night. Visibility 10-20, in places around 5 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with rain in places, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic today.
