A shallow low is shifting eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds strengthening to 8-16, in the open in the afternoon to 14-24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open in the afternoon 3-4. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Partial clearing is expected in the afternoon. Air temperatures a little lower.

Variably cloudy with rain in places, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic . Moderate, in the open sea up to strong NW winds, easing in the second part of the night. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic in the evening up to moderate.
