SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest and it will be shifting across the Adriatic during the night further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

S and SW, along the coast in the morning SE winds, 12-24, strengthening firstly in the North, till the end of the day in the rest of the Adriatic, to 16-34 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the evening to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably or mainly cloudy and rather warm with rain in places, particularly late in the day, when isolated rain showers and thunder are likely.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Near gale, in places up to gale force S and SW, easing a little in the second part of the night and turning in the northern part of the Adriatic to W winds. Sea moderate, locally up to rough. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder in places, but partial clearing is expected in the extreme north of the Adriatic during the night.
