SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest while a frontal disturbance is slowly shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 12-22, in places up to 26 knots, easing a little in the afternoon, but strengthening again during the night. West of Istria in the afternoon still S and SW winds 4-12 knots. Sea 3-4, west of Istria 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, more frequent and more abundant in the North Adriatic.

Variably or mainly cloudy with rain in places, more frequent and more abundant in the North Adriatic, where isolated rain showers and thunder are also likely. Moderate to strong SE, turning to S and SW winds and easing in the North and Central Adriatic during the forenoon to light and moderate. Sea slight and moderate, calming in the northern part in the morning to smooth and slight. No significant change in air temperatures.
