SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest while a frontal disturbance is slowly shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 12-22, in places up to 26 knots, mainly in the open, easing a little in a part of the Central and North Adriatic around midday, but strengthening again during the night. West of Istria S and SW winds 4-12 knots. Sea 3-4, west of Istria 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, more frequent and more abundant in the North Adriatic. Air temperatures warming up a little, particularly the morning ones.

Variably or mainly cloudy with rain in places, more frequent and more abundant in the North Adriatic, where isolated rain showers and thunder are also likely in the second part of the night. Moderate to strong SE, turning from the middle of the night to S and SW winds. Sea slight and moderate.
