SYNOPSIS

A trough is shifting from the Adriatic eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying briefly from the southwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic W and SW winds 6-16 knots. In the Central and South Adriatic N and NW winds 10-20, in the open sea 20-35, easing in the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and in the South during the night to 5-15 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic 4-5, gradually calming during the night. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic a new cloud increase, bringing a little rain in places during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Fine or fair, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic mainly cloudy with a little rain in places. Light to moderate W an SW, in the Central and South Adriatic light to moderate N and NW winds, easing and giving way along the coast before the morning to NE, which will turn all along the Adriatic during the morning to moderate SE. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic at first up to moderate.
