SYNOPSIS

A low centred over the Ligurian Sea is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Initially still calm or NW, in places along the coast NE winds, 4-10, giving way later on to SE 6-16, strengthening in the afternoon to 12-22, toward the open sea up to 28 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3, toward the end of the day possibly 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, firstly in the open, in the afternoon along the coast as well.

Mainly cloudy with rain. Moderate to strong SE winds, easing in the North, then in the Central Adriatic as well, and turning to light to moderate NW, from the middle of the night in the South Adriatic to moderate to fresh, in the extreme south up to strong SW winds. Sea slight and moderate.
