SYNOPSIS

A new field of low pressure with frontal system is deepening in the Gulf of Genoa and it will be shifting across the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-12, in the Velebit Channel up to 16, easing and turning to SE, in the South Adriatic to SW 8-16, in the open sea 12-24, in the afternoon in the North and Central Adriatic to NW winds 12-24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the wider area of Rijeka and in the Velebit Channel a risk of snow. No significant change in air temperatures.

Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain. Moderate, in the open sea up to strong NW winds, easing in the second part of the night. Sea slight, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate.
