ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC OF NW WINDS, 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL OF NE UP TO 75 KNOTS, EASING DURING THE NIGHT. IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC IN THE EVENING SEA BRIEFLY UP TO 5.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low is shifting from the South and Central Adriatic further southeastwards, while a new low is expected to deepen in the Gulf of Genoa during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic winds turning to NW 12-28, along the coast to NE 8-18 knots. Winds are expected to ease all along the Adriatic during the night. Sea 3-4, in the open of the southern part in the evening briefly 4-5, calming through the night to 2-3. Overcast with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, along the coast of the North Adriatic with a little snow. Partial clearing and end of precipitation expected firstly in the North Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NW and NE winds. In the morning SE and S winds expected to strengthen rapidly. Sea calming, but increasing again toward midday to slight and moderate. Gradual heavier cloud increase, bringing rain and snow in the North Adriatic in the morning.
