SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from northeastern Europe is gradually weakening, while a trough with frontal system is approaching from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 8-16, in the open south of Porer, and in the Central and South Adriatic, 15-25 knots. In the North Adriatic NE winds 10-20 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3, in the open 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the area of Rijeka and in the Velebit Channel wind drifted snow. In the North and along the coast of a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force, NE, toward the open of the Cental Adriatic moderate to strong NW, and in the South Adriatic moderate to strong SE winds.
