SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-12, strengthening in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic to 6-16, in the open from midday up to 20 knots. Along the coast at first calm or NE winds 4-10 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic to 2-3, in the extreme south late in the day possibly to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist, or possibly to less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the North Adriatic in the morning. Mostly clear with occasional cloud increase, and in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain or drizzle, mainly in the wider area of Rijeka. No significant change in air temperatures.

Mostly clear with occasional cloud increase, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain or drizzle. A risk of mist or fog in places, mainly in the northern part of the Adriatic. Light to moderate, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the first part of the night still up to fresh NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic in the first part of the night possibly up to moderate.
