IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC TODAY STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS. A RISK OF FOG IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, MAINLY DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a shallow trough over the Ionian Sea is filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, in places along the coast at first still NE winds, 6-16, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic NW up to 22 knots, gradually easing during the night. In the extreme south of the Adriatic NE winds 10-20 knots, easing. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility above 20 km, in places of the North Adriatic reduced to around 5 km due to mist, or possibly to less than 1 km due to fog, mainly during the night. Mostly clear, but cloud increase is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic late in the day.

Light to moderate NW, along the coast of the South Adriatic light NE winds, in the extreme south up to moderate. Sea smooth, toward the open sea up to slight. In the North Adriatic a risk of fog. Mostly clear, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy.
