IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC THIS MORNING STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS. A RISK OF FOG IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a shallow trough over the Ionian Sea is filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 4-14, in the Central and South Adriatic up to 22, turning during the forenoon to NW 6-16, in the open sea of the Central and South Adriatic up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic 3-4, calming late in the day. Visibility above 20 km, but in the North Adriatic late in the day reduced to around 5 km due to mist, west of Istria possibly to less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear, only in the South Adriatic fair during the forenoon. Cloud increase in the open of the North Adriatic late in the day. Air temperatures a little higher.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NW, along the coast of the southern part mainly light NE winds. Sea smooth, locally in the open up to slight. Cloud increase in the northern part with a risk of fog, and cloud increase in northern Dalmatia and in the open sea in the second part of the night.
