A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-14, strengthening south of Istria to 8-18 knots, firstly in the open sea. Sea 1-2, increasing south of Istria in the second part of the day to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist, or even to less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the North Adriatic in the morning. Variably, in the North Adriatic mainly cloudy. Along the coast partly or mostly clear. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, in places up to fresh NW winds. Sea smooth or slight. Along the coast light, in the Velebit Channel up to moderate, NE winds. Variably, in the northern part of the Adriatic mainly cloudy, with a risk of light scattered rain or drizzle in the open sea.
