SYNOPSIS

A broad field of high pressure lies over the western and central Mediterranean, while a frontal disturbance is shifting north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and E, turning late in the day to NW winds 4-12 knots. In the North Adriatic SE and SW winds 4-12, easing and turning in the open sea to NW 4-10 knots. Sea 1-2. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist reduced to around 5 km, during the night possibly to less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the North Adriatic. Variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain in the Gulf of Rijeka, but partial clearing during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Calm or light, in the South and Central Adriatic up to moderate NW winds. Sea calm or smooth, in the South Adriatic up to slight. Fine, in places fair with a risk of fog, mainly in the North Adriatic.
