SYNOPSIS

A broad field of high pressure lies over the western and central Mediterranean, while a frontal disturbance is shifting north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and E, turning late in the day to NW winds 4-12 knots. In the North Adriatic SE and SW winds 6-14, easing in the afternoon and turning in the open sea to NW 4-10 knots. Sea 1-2, locally in the North Adriatic in the morning up to 3. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist reduced to around 5 km. Variably cloudy. No significant change in air temperatures.

Light NW winds, along the coast mainly calm. Sea calm or smooth. Fine, in the northern part of the Adriatic fair with a risk of fog in places.
