IN THE NORTH AND IIN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING UP TO 60, AND IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC FROM THE END OF THE DAY A RISK OF GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low over the Ligurian Sea will be shifting slowly toward the Tyrrhenian Sea, extending a trough toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 8-18, in the Velebit Channel up to 24, strengthening toward the end of the day to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds 6-16, gradually turning from the end of the day to NE and strengthening to 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic during the night possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.

Light to fresh NE, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force. Only in the South Adriatic at first still SE and E winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the North Adriatic possibly up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
