IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 60, AND TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE REST OF THE NORTH AND IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC 35-40 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY FROM MIDDAY.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low over the Ligurian Sea will be shifting slowly toward the Tyrrhenian Sea, extending a trough toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 24, strengthening toward the end of the day to 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with rain in places, while isolated rain showers and thunder expected particularly in the second part of the day. No significant change in air temperatures.

NE winds will be spreading to the Central Adriatic and it will strengthen. In the extreme south of the Adriatic still up to moderate SE and E winds. Sea slight. Overcast with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.
