A RISK OF FOG IN PLACES. DURING THE NIGHT IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC A RISK OF GUSTS OF NE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the West, while a weakened frontal disturbance is shifting across the Croatian inland further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 4-8, in the open sea from midday and along the coast later on NW winds 6-16 knots. Sea 1-2, toward the end of the day and during the night 2-3. Visibility 5-15, but in places still less than 1 km due to fog, mainly this morning. Fair or mainly cloudy, more clouds expected in the North and Central Adriatic, where light scattered rain or drizzle is possible.
