SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the European land is intensifying over the Adriatic, while a shallow field of low pressure over the central Mediterranean is gradually filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 8-16, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic 12-22 knots, easing till the end of the day. Sea 2-3, in the open toward the Strait of Otranto 3-4, gradually calming during the night. Visibility 20-30 km. Clear skies. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Clear skies. Light to moderate NE, easing and turning till midday to NW winds. Sea smooth, in the Velebit Channel and in the open of the South Adriatic slight.
