IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH, DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING ELSEWHERE AS WELL, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-60, DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING UP TO 70 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the European land is intensifying over the Adriatic, while a shallow low over the Ionian Sea is slowly filling up and shifting toward the southern Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in the North Adriatic and in the extreme south up to 22, and in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots, strengthening in the evening to 10-20, in the North Adriatic and in the extreme south up to 28, in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the open up to 4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear with some clouds in the South Adriatic.
