ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN PLACES OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. IN THE CENTRAL AND IN A PART OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC DURING THE FORENOON STILL A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low is shifting from the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE winds 12-24, diminishing to 5-15 knots and turning in the Central Adriatic to NW. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE, in the open sea NW winds, 6-16, north of Istria and in the Velebit Channel late in the day up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, more in the North Adriatic during the forenoon and in the South late in the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Clearing is expected in the North, during the night in the Central Adriatic as well. Light to fresh NW, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE, in the South Adriatic at first up to moderate SE winds. Sea smooth or slight, possibly up to moderate.
